Solar Writer - Modern was created by the authors of Solar Fire. It creates polished natal reports for the general public. It can work with 30 different house systems including Solar sign for reports on people without a birth time. The source text is editable so you can modify delineations to better suit your taste.

The report runs approximately 20 pages.

Structure

Solar Writer Modern surveys the departments of one's life under the headings of:

• Life Goals (Sun and Jupiter)
• Home (Moon)
• Education and Communication (Mercury)
• Relationships (Venus)
• Motivation (Mars)
• Career and Ambitions (Saturn and Midheaven)
• Creativity and Originality (Uranus and Neptune)
• Challenges in Life (Pluto)
• Purpose and Joy (Nodes and Ascendant)

Each section covers the points in parenthesis by sign and house with major aspects. The calculation engine is capable of delineating minor aspects but the author has chosen not to clutter the report with interpretations of minor aspects.

Style

The report achieves an integrated feel by writing more expansively on fewer factors than other reports. The report also includes generous introductory paragraphs for each section.

Stephanie Johnson (co-founder of Esoteric Technologies, the developers of Solar Fire) wrote the text for this report and the ones in Solar Fire. Stephanie has been most influenced by esoteric and medieval astrology Her study of esoteric astrology comes through in her interpretation of the lunar nodes as karmic destiny. Her study of medieval astrology is reflected in the direct style of the report. There is more of a literal approach to the interpretations than a psychological approach.

The only astrological terms used in the text are the names of the planets and signs which makes it a good report for clients who get distracted by astrological jargon.

Options

The Solar Writer calculation engine was written by Graham Dawson, who wrote Solar Fire. The calculation options and wheel styles will be familiar to Solar Fire users.
